Hello there. This is the new, official site for The Real McCoy, formerly known as This Late-Night Matinee. Over the past few months, we have really begun to hit it off. With rockin' shows, an official EP, and an increasing fan base, we are really on our way. We hope you all can bear with us and that you enjoy the new site. Today was most definitely a long and tedious day with Andrew K of Westview Studios. We arrived at the studio at 9 am and immediately began recording our self-titled, four track EP. We finally ended at 5pm. Phew, it feels great to have a quality EP out finally...come to our soon coming Starbucks gig or just leave a comment on our MySpace to let us know you want a copy www.myspace.com/therealmccoymyspace . More good news is that we will be doing a show with the resurrected band Westview sometime in the near future. We're all hyped and excited so stay tuned for awesome merch and CD sellin'! 8.6.05 We are happy to say that our show with Blue Sky Envy went rather well. For not playing for almost 2 months, it was good. With that behind us, we are focusing on recording now. It's going to be very busy session. We are only able to record 4 of our 6 songs sadly, but we are going to pick the best 4! We are also stoked about getting another Starbucks gig in. We should have our E.P. done by then and will be able to get it out there! WooWhoo!!! Well, that's all we got for now. -The Real McCoy 8.4.05 We are preparing for two upcoming shows right now. Our Pre-Warped Tour Partay w/ Blue Sky Envy is right around the corner (actually its tomorrow!!) We really wish everyone could come :/ Congrats to those lucky chosen few. We also are discussing another Starbucks show for those of you who missed our last one due to the horendous weather that night. Check the "Shows" page for more info on that. With that said, we have also have recieved news about our recording deal. We are scheduled to begin recording our 6 track E.P. on August 8th. That's next week!! We are all so psyched and are hoping to get this thing done and out to all you fans. Maybe by our next Starbucks show...eh? Anywho, that's all we got for now. -The Real McCoy
